الثنايا – Thanāyā — /θaˈnaːja/
5–6 yrs old. Prime age; longer runs and serious racing, no clumsiness. Relationship between trainer and camel are playing a huge role here.

الحيل – Ḥīl — /ħiːl/

الزمول – Zumūl — /zuˈmuːl/
Senior males. Power and long-distance strength; crowd-pleasers on big finals. The pinnacle and zenith of the race.

Owner divisions keep the field fair and fierce: Local Owners vs International Owners. You’ll also see sex labels on cards: بكار – Bakkār/Bikār (female) and قعدان – Qaʿdān (male; Gulf speech often Gaʿdān).

Racing camels are not a breed or species, they are a temperament of youthful camels that may in retirement become dairy camels, studs, or working camels.
